There’s so much to love and admire about Santorini. From the architecture to the beautiful beaches, it truly is more of an IG worthy city than almost anywhere I’ve step foot before. But what’s really sweet about Santorini. What really makes it move from IG worthy to bucket list worthy, has to be the culture.
If the relaxed vibe is a must in your holiday/vacation needs then welcome the slower pace in majestic islands with Santorini. Where the pictures aren’t a let down from reality. The food is farm to table at everyplace you choose. And the activities match but don’t overwhelm your expectations. From the vineyards, the flying dresses, the infinity pools, the private chefs… it’s all there for the taking. The perfect blend of luxury and attainability.

A Short Guide for your travels
Start with a ferry ride from Athens or one of the other islands. Although you can fly directly to the island, I believe the ferry starts the tone off just right. Get your mind relaxing before you even bury your toes in the warm sands.
From there, you have endless options for accommodations. Now I’m a die-hard rental girl. It gives me the immersive feels I look for when embarking on a new culture, and the villas of Santorini are pretty much unmatched if Airbnb is also your vibe. However, for those who enjoy room service more than hiring their own in house chef or cooking themselves, then the hotel options are a perfect choice. Look for a cliff side hotel and be sure to specify your room choices. Not all options are equivalent and a room with a view in Santorini is a must.
As for activities, well if you’ve seen it, dreamt it, or can think of it, then it’s worth asking. The Greek isles are known for their accommodations but more than likely they’ll give you a blend of what you asked for and what you truly need. Like a flying dress photoshoot while getting an unedited tour of the city and being led by a local to spots it doesn’t entirely feel like you are allowed.
It’d take an entire book to truly explain the wonders of Santorini and my own personal experience, not to mention things are changing every year. But if this tidbit wasn’t enough or you’re still on the fence, then feel free to reach out. The sweeter side of Santorini can be different for each person after all.
